About ICU

ICU Scandinavia AB is a Swedish leading supplier of automated systems for logging, monitoring and quality assurance of data in laboratories, restaurants and other food production companies. ICU is privately owned and we market and sell our own products and systems. We also offer customized solutions adapted to our customers’ specific conditions, applications and type of industry.

Together with world leading partners ICU develops a wide spectrum of products and systems based on top technologies in electronics development, software design, wireless communication and IP-based systems.

At present, ICU has offices in the following countries: Denmark, Poland, Switzerland and Sweden, where the head office is located. Our customers and partners are spread all over the world and exist within different types of industries, mainly in medical accessories, laboratories, restaurants and other food producers.

History, Present Time and Future
ICU was founded in 1992 as a design house for electronics and software. The focus of the company was to find different solutions for monitoring and control of diverse industry applications. The company was named ICU Scandinavia AB, which refers to the monitoring business through the shortening of “I see you” – ICU. ICU has developed over time to also having the focus on developing systems for monitoring through wireless communication.

Today ICU is both an engineering firm, which develops customized solutions adjusted to the needs of our customers, and a production company. ICU’s monitoring system is named ICUWare and consists of a number of hardware and software platforms. Our system Boomerang is based on these platforms, Boomerang for laboratories and Boomerang for restaurants.

ICU is constantly growing. In 1996 we opened a development and sales office in Switzerland, in 2000 a development office in Poland and in 2005 a sales office was opened in Denmark. Our customer base is global and we mainly expand in Europe, where the demand for our products and services increases continuously. We look forward to being present on other locations close to our customers and partners in the near future.
