Laboratories
The control of the environment in the refrigerator, the freezer or the incubator is essential when culturing bacteria, storing blood plasma or such. An incorrect temperature could become very costly at the same time as valuable samples could be lost. Today it becomes more and more important to assure high quality in the laboratory.
Even the authorities demand high quality standards; it is for example required to measure and document temperatures in a manner that allows for traceability in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Click here to read more about GLP and GMP.
If you are monitoring your temperatures manually, you will most likely end up with a rather extensive administration and paper handling. This is probably not the main activity of your laboratory and therefore the risk of inadequate documentation is high. With a so-called temperature log you are able to monitor temperature variances automatically, but not in real time. Thus, it will not solve the difficulty of saving samples if problems occur with keeping the right temperatures. These obsolete methods are not only risky, but also time consuming at the expense of the core business of a laboratory.
The challenge for a laboratory is to be able to continuously and reliably measure temperatures and to react in time if problems occur, without it being time consuming.
With the Boomerang system you easily supervise and assure a high quality level in your laboratory. Boomerang automatically collects information about temperatures in for example refrigerators, freezers, incubators or heating cabinets. An alarm goes off instantly when the temperature exceeds your predetermined limits. Boomerang is based on flexibility and offers many different ways of receiving alarms, e.g. via SMS, e-mail or pager.
Wireless communication makes it possible to centralize the supervision, irrespective of the number of measuring points or laboratories. All measured data are stored by Boomerang, and the system has a built-in routine for backup. Reports on history records can be produced at any time in different formats, for example in Microsoft Excel. Besides temperatures, Boomerang is also able to measure humidity (RTH), carbon dioxide (CO2), pressure, and particles in the air of an air confined room.
Boomerang helps you to assure a high quality level by providing a series of advantages:

-
Time-saving
-
Continuous and reliable measurements
-
Continuous monitoring 24 hours a day
-
Deviation alarm
-
Automatic and traceable documentation
-
Fast installation
-
User-friendliness
